An oral and maxillofacial examination is performed when you have symptoms or changes in the face, jaws, oral cavity, and neck, including inflammation, cysts, tumors, injuries, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.

• Review of radiology images (X-ray, OPG, CT, MRI) if you have them
• Recommendation for further treatment or a surgical procedure
