What is a 4D ultrasound and why is it performed?
A 4D ultrasound is a modern ultrasound examination that provides real-time imaging of the baby. In addition to giving parents the opportunity to see their baby’s face and movements, it allows the doctor to assess fetal development and specific anatomical structures in greater detail.

When is the best time for a 4D ultrasound?
The most suitable time for a 4D ultrasound examination is between the 20th and 24th week of pregnancy. During this period, conditions for imaging the baby are optimal, so the face, movements, and other anatomical structures can be seen very clearly.
The examination can also be performed at other stages of pregnancy if there is a medical indication or at the pregnant woman’s request, provided that the baby’s position and the amount of amniotic fluid allow for high-quality imaging.
