What is folliculometry and why is it performed?
Folliculometry is an ultrasound examination used to monitor the growth and maturation of follicles in women who are planning a pregnancy or preparing for in vitro fertilization (IVF). The exam helps determine the timing of ovulation and assess fertility.

Preparation
• The examination is most often performed around day 11 to 12 of the cycle, depending on the length of the menstrual cycle.
