HPV typing by Real-Time PCR method

HPV typing by Real-Time PCR method

What is the human papillomavirus (HPV)?
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection and the main cause of changes in the cervix, including precancerous lesions and cervical cancer. The infection usually shows no symptoms, so preventive testing is of crucial importance, as early detection allows changes to be successfully prevented and treated.

Real-time PCR – the most reliable way to detect HPV
Real-Time PCR is the only reliable method that detects HPV at the DNA level and accurately determines the virus type.

It enables:
• early detection of HPV infection even without symptoms
• accurate genotype determination
• differentiation between low- and high-risk types
• maximum sensitivity and reliability of results
