What is radiofrequency LOOP excision and why is it performed?
Radiofrequency LOOP excision using Dr Igor Jeremić’s technique is a modern diagnostic and therapeutic method that simultaneously removes a cervical lesion and provides an accurate histopathological diagnosis. The procedure is quick, effective, and safe, especially for younger patients, as it does not damage the cervical canal.
What does the procedure include?
• Colposcopic examination before the intervention
• Minimally invasive removal of the lesion under local anesthesia (the procedure takes about 2 minutes)
• Sending the tissue for histopathological analysis for an accurate diagnosis
• Simultaneous therapeutic treatment of the lesion — after removal, the patient is considered cured
Preparation
• The procedure is performed outside of menstrual bleeding
